What I wouldn't give to have a REAL pub here in Sugarhouse! Since moving back here two years ago I've craved a quality, no-frills, neighborhood style pub to call my own. (And no, The Tap Room doesn't cut it). I thought I had found a potential candidate when I began visiting Fiddler's Elbow. But the place can't figure out if it wants to be a pub or a restaurant. A pub with a kitchen I can understand, but a restaurant with a bar is no pub! The food is good enough to fill a void, no more. The beer is all weak 'Utah' beer (thanks to the ""tavern"" licence they hold), some of it good, some of it swill. Bartenders have very little conversational/social skills and waitresses unattractive all (very politically incorrect I know). I understand the ownership has recently changed, so here's hoping for some improvement.
Pros: location, building, parking
Cons: bartending staff
