Where in the Twin Cities would you least expect to find a culinary treasure like Restaurant Alma? One of my guesses would have been University Ave SE on the west side of 35W!! To be honest, Alma's street parking and the lack of a full bar are their only negatives. The atmosphere is ""neighborhoody"" and comfortable. The food is outstanding - the duck breast and confit possibly the best I've tasted. I rank Alma right alongside Vincent, although the above-mentioned detractions result in a slightly lower overall score.
Pros: Excellent Food, Nice Wine List, Good Value
Cons: Beer and Wine Only, Parking
