Drago's is a family owned restaurant, has been listed in travel magazines, and is generally accredited with having the best oysters anywhere. This is all true. The family is there running the business, and the staff is helpful and prompt.
All these things pale in comparison to the food. I've yet to taste something there which is not truly fantastic. The calimari, the oysters, the lobsters, and the shrimp--the pasta and chicken dishes are fabulous as well. You will LOVE Drago's. Walk, don't run to the place in Metairie. They don't advertise because they don't need to, and there's a good reason for that--people talk when they're happy and full. :) People go once and become regulars.
