St. Louis' oldest Mexican restaurant is nothing more than classic Tex Mex. Bland, uneventful, and boring flavors bring out the worst in their menu. On the other hand, the service was excellent, but even a smiling, friendly wait staff can't boost Ruiz. They should change their slogan to ""St. Louis' oldest Tex Mex restaurant,"" because they don't deserve to label themselves authentic Mexican.
