The Bear Pit has been a favorite of mine for over thirty years, it is always one of my first stops when in the northern SF Valley. During those thirty years+ I've eaten BBQ in TX, MO, KS and all over the south. None of them come close. Nothing beats the sliced pork sandwich on garlic toast with slaw (and extra sauce on the side). The sawdust on the floor is always good (except my kids try to play in it too much) and the iced pickle bowls are great!! Wish they had one where I live now, man do I miss LA.
