Billed as the top seafood establishment in LA, indeed in southern California, Water Grill didn't disappoint in the slightest on our first visit. Sublime oysters, a tuna tartare appetizer sparkling with freshness and flavor, and an outstanding melt-in-your-mouth Icelandic char were highlights - not to forget the standard test of any great kitchen, a damn fine creme brulee for dessert. Service was friendly, low-key, and attentive, not to mention expert and highly knowledgable about all items on the menu. This restaurant lives up to all the hype - and the not-inconsiderable price-tag - it's really something special to which seafood-lovers should treat themselves without hesitation.
