After living in Franklin for two years, we finally made it to Saffire for our anniversary. Wow! Knowledgable server, seamless bussing, attentive throughout. We began with a ravioli starter on the advice of our server- great move. My husband's caesar salad was amazing, with a giant crostini spread with herbed cream cheese. I had a cider-glazed salmon filet atop the tastiest spinach ever. Alongside were roasted red potatoes and shitake mushrooms, all over a creamy parsnip puree. Fantastic! My husband's Flintstone-sized prime rib was served with roasted asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes. Having been raised in a cattle ranching family out west, he can be a tough customer when it comes to beef, but he said it was probably the best he's ever had. They offered to comp us a dessert for our anniversary, but we were in no shape to eat another bite. We can't wait to go back!
Pros: fabulous food, great wine list, fun atmosphere
Cons: kind of noisy
