I love this place and eat there maybe once a week. The reason that service is ""slow"" to some is that they are under staffed on many nights and it does not help that usually one one of the waiters can speak well enough english to run the register and take take out orders. People complain that the service isn't good, but look at those waiters; they are consently moving.
The place is small and they have just grown so popular that the wait for a seat can be long if you come at the busiest hours. So just sign the waiting list sit down and wait until your turn.
If you ever have questions ask the new manager Sean, who is very friendly.
A new Sushi Land opened in Vancouver on Oct.24.2003! It is really nice and there are more seats! It is on 164th.
