Ten years ago, when I relocated from the Southern part of the US to the Northwest, I realized that coffee (in this part of the US) was unlike any I had ever tasted. Simply WONDERFUL, and so many wonderful coffees to savor!! A whole other experience for me!! I love it...
The reverse is true for hot, fresh, tasty donuts. While I agree that Krispy Kreme does offer great glazed donuts (I do not care much for their other fare), they certainly are not the best I have ever eaten!! I think it depends on what you have been exposed to, and sometime ignorance is bliss!!
