I've been to Spence Cafe to eat and socialize/drink; it's good for both. The food is outstanding, I have yet to be disappointed. It's a good place for a date or a small group dinner. The service can be iffy, but most of the time it is good. Make sure you save room for dessert, if you like cheesecake. I believe they had six different kinds the last time I was there.
Overall, I recommend Spence Cafe for a nice enjoyable dinner at a good price.
