This was THE place to start my days off, every day off I had while I lived in Jackson. Just slightly off the beaten path, with authentic community spirit. Everything I ever ate there was good, and the choices are relatively healthy ranging to decadent if that is what you want. Excellently made coffees. A wonderful place to read and eat, with a great porch-- perfect for drinking a hot drink outside while the snow falls around you-- being a native Southerner, I loved the novelty of that! Also-- very good prices for the usually pricey JH area.
Pros: Funky cozy atmosphere, good hearty food, good value
Cons: very small, sometimes no seats, only street parking
