I like Lillys. I have eaten there before and I have no complaints about the place. But whether it's the best Pizza in Raleigh is up for debate. I enjoyed the pizza that I ate there, but it never took me back to Rome or Naples, that's for sure. The atmosphere is quite uninteresting as well, unless you sit outside (the trendy five points area saves the ambiance).
Then again, most of the 'best Italian' places in Raleigh are by no means Italian either. The thing is, you can find really good, authentic Italian food in the area, but they're just not as well known as the Macaroni Grill. Try Capri Restaurant in Sutton Square. I dont' think they serve pizza, but for the rest of it you WON""T be disappointed.
