I recently visited Restaurant Alma for the first time. We were seated immediately, and our server (Nat) was remarkably patient and knowledgeable about the restaurant, the kitchen, the wine list and what would suit our tastes. The escarole salad with balsamic and white truffle viniagrette was a terrific starter. The seared sashimi tuna was expertly done, and the lemon pudding cake was truly a perfect blend of tart, sweet, smooth and moist. This restaurant is a must for anyone tired of franchises. We cancelled reservations next weekend at D'Amico (our favorite standby) because we thought we'd have more fun here, and because the desserts cannot be beat.
Pros: sumptuous menus, fresh ingredients, knowledgeable staff
Cons: parking can be tricky
