El Gaucho might make it as a contender in NYC, but it wouldn't be tops. While service was impeccable, the steak was mediocre. My medium rare ribeye was closer to medium, not very hot, and VERY salty. Sweet potato was a good side, scalloped potatoes were weak (could've been store bought), and asparagus was wimpy, under-cooked, and stringy. My companion's filet cooked medium was competent. Overall, not worth the admission. Go to the nearby Morton's.
Pros: Service, Live Music
Cons: Mediocre Steak, Overpriced, Too Dark
