Hayes is my boyfriend's and my hamburger ""joint"" of choice. The burgers (his with grilled onions, mine without ) are tasty, the fries are great.... and the service, well, plan on sitting on a stool at the counter so you can see the ""show"". This is a real old-fashioned ""diner"" in the very best sense. A feeling of ""community"" permeates here. I've watched teenagers give up their booths to an elderly couple, if you sit at the counter plan on passing food on to a booth patron. In our house this is the way I get my boyfriend up and moving on the weekends...""Honey, how about we go to Hayes for lunch?"" Try it. You won't be disappointed.
Pros: Great Food, Great Service, Great Value
Cons: Parking, Small/Crowded
