In the early years, I would rave about Suehiro to my friends. The flavor was authentic, reasonably priced, and the restaurant was never too crowded. But then the word got out about Suehiro, and it was the beginning of the end for this once fine establishment. Now making more money at any cost is the business plan at Suehiro, their dishes and service have taken on a MUCH more American flavor. At the sushi bar the sushi chefs seem more concentrated on who can slap together the most rolls between smoke breaks than producing a quality roll. And to top it off, at $20+ per person, they wont split the checks! This burden dismissed readily with a brief message in the menu for the convenience of our customers, Suehiro does not split checks. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. For me, convenience is best found somewhere OTHER than Suehiro.
