There's a reason Spaghetti Factory has long waits and is one of the few restaurants to hang in there for the long haul downtown. The food is good, but not the best Italian one can find. It's the great decor, the friendly staff, and the fun atmosphere. Plus, the prices are LOW and it may be the most kid-friendly restaurant in town.
