I agree with above; Being an obssessed rock climber ( which climber isn't), I've checked out all the climbing shops in town, because gear breaks and you always need a new rope. Anyways, they have the best prices (discount for clubsport members), the best selection of gear ( and if they don't have it in stock , they'll order it for you), and definitely the most knowledgeable , friendly and ALWAYS VERY HELPFUL staff, no matter how busy they are; and good hours, too . They let me put a complete trad rack together for a killer deal. OMC has crappy service, REI is too corporate and limited selection, US Outdoors has a limited selection, Mountain Store is OK.
