Nashville Beware, 6/16/2002

This is a real restaurant. Not an all-you-can-eat fried food warehouse. Margot offers fresh regional products at market prices. We were seated promptly and served wonderfully by a talented waiter. The tomato bread salad was the most incredible appetizer I have ever eaten and left me wanting more. But, those "starters" aren't supersized for a reason, I generally save room for my entree. I admit the menu is limited, but limited because of seasonal and regional availability. Do you want slop? If you are looking for big portions and sub-par ingredients, go somewhere else. If you don't want to be disappinted by a bland, boring entree, DON'T ORDER CHICKEN. It is a menu "safety" for people like you have no interest in being epicurially adventurous. One tip, work on the desserts. My blood orange sorbet was dynamite, but my husband's chocolate torte was dry and crumbly. Pros: Flavorful food, Atmosphere, Service Cons: Parking, Desserts more
