This restaurant doesn't belong in Monrovia -- it belongs at least in Pasadena, if not on Melrose. The food is way too good and much too innovative. Your meal begins with fresh baked strips of foccachia bread served with a uniquely flavored hummus/olive oil dip. The soups are divine -- lobster bisque was always my favorite. The entrees offer up a wide range of fish and meat dishes, with nightly specials often including various game such as venison. The desserts delight, as does the extensive wine list. This place is a must eat, particularly if you're stuck out in Gem City anyway.
Pros: nice patio, great wine list, innovative food
Cons: remote location
