Everything on the menu is great. I know this because I've had it all. The Carpetbagger steak is my favorite, and I always get the oyster brie soup. Soft-shell crab rocks too! Fish, any fish, is always fresh and amazingly prepared. The sauces make every dish succulent and amazing. As the previous review stated, this isn't cajun. But it is very creole! And the aligator is cajun. But who cares about labels. At Jacques-Imo's the food's the thing.
Oh, we once waited 3.5 hours because they don't take reservations for parties < 5. There's a sushi place down the street. If you're told the wait will > 1 hour. Go get appetizers there.
Pros: blackened fish, carpetbagger steak, all the appetizers
Cons: long, long wait, a bit of a wait, prepare to wait
