Not one of Santa Cruz County's more prominent coffee shops, Espresso Rio is nice because it's close to the beach and has a comfortable if not tiny patio for people watching and paper reading. The food isn't much to speak of, though the homemade energy bar snack things are a good tea time pick me up.
