When the AMC 14 opened in the late 80s, Burbank hadn't had its own movie theater in years. If you lived in Burbank you had to drive to Glendale or North Hollywood to see a film. Hard to believe now that "Media City" has 28 screens in three different locations, with more on the way.
Almost 15 years later, this original location is somewhat of a relic. It has only two large screens, no stadium seating, no retractable arm rests and problematic parking. Nevertheless, it's proximity to the Burbank Village makes it a fave date spot on the weekends. There's always long lines outside and on busy nights it can be difficult to find a seat.
Pros: close to village, good matinee prices
Cons: parking problematic, too crowded, seating only ok
