Pavilion Theater

Since the Pavilion on Flatbush underwent renovations, I generally head to the Southwest end of Prospect Park if I'm aching for B-movie satisfaction. The Pavilion (which is cattycorner from the weird Bartel-Pritchard Square) always screens the latest blockbusters and/or horror flicks. Few art films here and that's fine by me. Hey, I like a little action. The theaters themselves are a mixed bag, though. Purple seats aside, this is standard multiplex fare. Not too small but not that big either. Furthermore, the floors are filthy, especially the stairwells. In its favor, the Pavilion has a quaint little restaurant called the Living Room Cafe. With its good view, funky furniture and fairly tasty fare, this element bumps The Pavilion above most other multiplexes. The question is who goes to a movie theater for lunch? Who wants to eat after watching "Glitter?" Pros: Cafe Cons: Hygeine more
