It's the LA quandry.. you can get a reasonably priced steak that isn't worth the effort of chewing, or you can get an outstanding steak if you skip your next car payment. At the Pacific Dining Car, you will certainly pay for what you get, but you also get all of what you pay for. If you're not satisfied with what your food, tell them what's wrong, and they'll make it right. If you want things a certain way, tell them, and they'll do everything possible to accomodate. The wait staff can be described in one word - professional. These aren't actors holding out for their real job, this *is* their real job, and it shows. Class without clutter - the ""in crowd"" won't show up to ruin the experience.
Pros: service, professionalism, value
Cons: price
