It's true that there are better Italian restaurants in L.A., probably better ones within three blocks. But my shrimp fetticine with marinara sauce was good and plentiful; the chianti was cheap (and served in a basket); and the salad was non-offensive iceberg and tomato. The bread, well, it wasn't worth the time it took for the waiter to bring it over. Anyway, the real reason to go here is the fact that this is the Robert Blake restaurant -- this is where he and his wife had their last meal together. There's even a pasta dish named for the guy. Just don't embarrass yourself by asking where they were sitting that night -- it gets really old.
