An independently owned bookstore, A Cappella Books wins over the big chains on so many fronts. Packed with fiction, non-fiction and a lot of specialty categories, the selection is quite remarkable given the store's small size. Most of its books are used, but A Cappella also stocks some intelligent and popular books as well. First editions in the case can be pricey, but most everything else, especially the paperbacks, is reasonable. If you can't find something, ask a member of the store's very knowledgeable sales staff. One of my favorite things about the store is that it posts a sign asking customers to turn off their cell phones--a nice change of pace. more
