Finally the Eastside offerings for fine dining are improving, thanks to Seastar! I went for lunch with a group from work and was thoroughly impressed with the food and the decor. It was unusually spacious for a Bellevue joint. Nice cozy wood accents (the tables were beautiful) as well as the light fixtures. High ceilings and extremely comfortable chairs. The taste and textures of all dishes I tried were inventive and impeccable. Don't miss the jam-packed (yet at the same time--light) Dungeness Crab Cakes. They melt in your mouth. The banana in phyllo dessert was criminally delicate and creamy with a wicked presentation. The only thing I'd ding was the service as it was fairly slow and the waiter was inattentive and a little chilly. Go try it for yourself and don't let this one get away from the Eastside!!!
