Lessons I have painfully learned: 1) This is NOT the 5-star Tony's of St. Louis (3-stars would be generous)!; (2) This is not an upscale restaurant - baseball hats and t-shirts fit right in; (3) Unless you live in downtown Alton, this place is not worth your effort - it is possible the worst steakhouse I have ever visited. Microwaved mozzarella sticks should have tipped us off. The ""seafood"" appetizers and lobster tails ($18) have not seen the sea in many months. My ""Pepperloin"" steak - their specialty - was actually cold (cooked the same day?). I have never left the majority of a surf and turf entre on my plate before ($40!), but I actually went to another restaurant afterwards to find something edible. Extremely disappointing and overly expensive. Luckily the whole experience was so bad that it was amusing.
Pros: Free valet
Cons: Alpo is better meat
