Unlike many cities on the west coast, Denver doesn't have an especially significant population of oriental Asians. However, we have a little eastern gem in our cow town chock full of caucasian, african and latin americans. Even a gaijin (somewhat derogatory Japanese slang for us predominant ""round eyes"") like
myself is welcome, comfortable, and excited to shop at Pacific mercantile. If you're cooking an Asian meal and need ingredients/supplies you just can't find at the yup stores (e.g. Whole Foods, Wild Oats - don't get me wrong, I shop there too), then mosey on over here. Note that it's in the same 'hood as Akebono, a nice Japanese/sushi restaurant at Sakura Square. Patronize diversity, support choice, and try something different!
Pros: Variety
Cons: Cleanliness not a 10
