I recently had dinner with several friends at the Portland City Grill. The service was poor, prices were too high and the food was below average in quality, quantity and preparation.
The entries ordered covered pasta, steaks, and seafood. The pasta was fair, the seafood dishes were over-cooked and dry, the steak's quality and quantity weren't in proportion to the price. Morton's definitely is a better choice for steaks.
The server was horrible for a resturant with its reputation. Our server constantly delivered items (drinks or food) to the wrong person. In the short time we were there, the waiter at the next table spilled a glass of wine on their table and dropped (and broke) another glass at the same table. It was comforting to know we didn't have the only incompetent waiter.
