If you want to get lunch for the sake of lunch, if good food, prepared well, in a clean environment is more important than being seen ""doing"" lunch, go where the city's cops, firemen, postal workers, utilitiy workers and on and on go. These folks can go anywhere in the City, and have tried them all, but all come back and favor this little market. While it may help to know a little Italian, it isn't needed to gaze at the prime cuts or mouth watering slices. A real treat, and it feels like being in your mother kitchen. All this a probably the cheapest sandwich in town!
