Used to live a couple of blocks away, so the Back Forty was a regular stop on my restaurant circuit. The pork ribs are fantastic! Smoked Texas style, they are served a bit pink with a smooth and tangy sauce. A typical dinner will include a satisfying soup/salad, corn bread, meat and garlic mashies. I've never been dissapointed in the food or the service in the 20+ times I have eaten here. Decor is kitschy Rodeo/Western but fun for the kids. While the prices are reasonable, the wait staff is excellent, they are very well trained. Since I've been living in the City, there are few reasons to head back to the East Bay but the Back Forty would be one darn good reason!
