The lobster ravioli is to die for. As is the maple/squash ravioli, mushroom ravioli, calamari salad, risottos, and WINE list... I never make it to entrees because the starters are so much fun. Piattini means ""small dish"", a bit like tapas only MUCH tastier--high end Italian flavors. Easy to share or to get 2 or 3 per person.
Josephine, the owner, opened the restaurant in an attempt to recreate her Italian grandmother's kitchen (she often will stop to chat w/ patrons)--the service is warm, informative, and if you go often enough you will get treated like family.
The ambiance is great for couples or small groups, they do a nice daytime menu for lunch, but dinner is amazing...
Pros: Near Copley/Hines T, Personal feel, Wine list great
Cons: Short wait on wknds
