I'll admit it, the food is good at Bluehour...really good. I've been to this restaurant several times, and although the service can be a bit uneven, the food has alway been worth the wait. Yes, the atmosphere is a bit chilly and uptight, but, where else but in Portland can you go dressed in jeans to a restaurant like this and still feel comfortable? Yes, people complain that Bluehour is too pretentious. I for one will tolerate a bit of pretension for as long as they keep turning out the kind of food I've come to expect from them.
Pros: great food, "kicks it up a notch", great coctails
Cons: uneven service
