this place could be GREAT with some attention to detail! The sushi is mostly good but the pieces are too big to eat in a mouthful. Awkward and messy with chopsticks. Also, the upstairs seating area is completely devoid of ambience (what is that pile of gravel doing there?) and I chafed at the $90 bill (for two) when it landed on our Formica tabletop. Sit downstairs and in the tatami rooms if possible -- then it seems worthwhile. The service was diner-style. I made reservations, but waited in the foyer for 15 minutes before we were seated.
Pros: quality of food
Cons: ambience, service
