I've eaten at Scotti's several times over the years and think of it often.
It is an Italian restaurant from an older time with classic Southern recipes. The food's a lot heavier than today's norm, the flavors much more complex, the experience nostalgic.
It reminds me of Da Vinci's in Philadelphia. Given Scotti's history this is no surprise.
I remember the stack of records on the changer .. more than 10, they'd start to slip and someone had to go down and start them over...
