I've been going here since I was a kid and we had to wait hours for a table. Luckily, that hasn't been a problem since they moved to the new location. Over the years, I have tried lots of BBQ, but it always paled in comparison to Haywards. Therefore, I don't eat anything but Haywards now. I like the large beef/ham combo sandwich and the fries. People who didn't like this place may not have sampled enough items on the menu. I'm not sure everything on the menu is great b/c I'm stuck on what I love. In fact, I once ordered a small sandwich and was disappointed by the taste-don't ask me why. By the way, even my vegetarian friends liked this place-they made a meal of some sides.
