My brother and I were visiting some relatives in Port Angeles. We were famished from the two hour drive from seattle. After hearing our relatives rave about Tendy's Garden, one of the local chinese restaurants, we just had to try. It did not disappoint.
First off the ambiance was very relaxing with their wooden decor. It was as if we were being treated to a visual feast. There was always something interesting to look at, but never did I feel my visual sensory over load. Overall Tendy's Garden successfully composed an atmosphere that was harmonious and quaint.
The most important and best part is easily the food. Chinese restaurants are a dime a dozen, but Tendy's Garden is a definite exception. The food was unique to say the least, it offers avant garde selections such as the vegetarian tofu dishes as well as boasting specialty in traditional dishes such as walnut shrimp and beef chow fun. Hands down one of the most versatile and consistently good food I've had.
Price wise, it is very fair around 8 - 15 dollars. If you ask me, it's a great deal for such quality food. The proportions are generous and I even had leftovers.
The service was great, we went in during the slow hours between 4-5, so we warmly greeted and promptly seated. The staff members were polite and clean as far as I can tell. They were quiet which contributed to the quiet atmosphere.
I'm very surprised and glad I found a place like Tendy's Garden in Port Angeles. If you ever happen to be in the Port Angeles area, you must try it.
