This is a small country school with one teacher per grade throughout the elementary school. The school is standards based with a focus on improving standardized test scores. Since the school is small, teachers get to know the students quite well and parents are involved in school activities. Activities include sports events, open house, parent teacher conferences, a book fair, a Christmas concert, service awards ceremonies, and the May Day program. The school has implemented the SFA reading program for several years now.
