When my all-time favorite secondhand kids’ clothing store closed last May (The Children’s Orchard in Ellicott City) I was devastated—for six years, I had bought nearly all of my children’s clothes there and had no idea where I would shop next. On the last day the store was open, I talked to the owner and asked him for advice. He recommended Just Arrived, a new secondhand store in Catonsville. The funny thing is, I knew about the store because it was less than a mile from my home and I had passed it any number of times since it opened but had never gone in.
Well, it’s not the Children’s Orchard, but it’s a pretty good substitute. Their space and selection isn’t as large, but what they have is very good quality and priced well. The owner also does a nice job of displaying what she has. The parking is limited, although I’ve never had a problem finding a space and the store has never been very crowded. I suspect that her business will pick up (and her selection increase) as more people turn to this shop, as I did, instead of the Children’s Orchard.
