He's a one-man shop up in Shoreline, and he makes great, all-wood windows at a very fair price. My wife and I did a big remodel in 2001 and Jack built all our windows - a combination of double-hung, fixed and casement styles - with true divided panes (not phony inserts) - all of solid fir. They were about 2/3 the price of the next cheapest bid, and were (and are) great quality.
The downsides to working with Jack are all related to the fact that he does everything himself. You'll need to provide your own shop drawings (he doesn't have a design department), and if it's a big order it may take longer to fulfill because he builds every window, by hand, by himself. If that's OK, he's a great choice.
