I noticed that there was a huge change with this really cute shop on Chapman a while back. After months of painting and remodelling, a new store called "Tranquilities" opened. I dragged my reluctant husband in with me to test drive this new store. Although he was not impressed (being male and all), I absolutely adored the shop. It is a really inviting atmosphere and you just want to crawl onto one of the shelves and live there. Everywhere you look, there are trinkets, soaps, candles, lotions, purses, jewelry, and lots more. I found an early Christmas present for my sister (which by the way never made it until Christmas) and ended up finding the perfect business card holder.
I drop into Tranquilities about once a month just to check up on all the new stock...and of course to maybe spend a little money. They always have something new, something funky and trendy, and usually it is stuff that you will not find in other stores around town. The store is small but very charming.
