The first zoo in the country and still a great time with a variety of activities for kids of all ages! With a nice variety of typical zoo animals, there are also a number of features that make this zoo unique--the Wallaby walk, the elephant and camel rides, the swan boats on the pond in the center of the zoo, the rotating exhibits such as the primate house or the African safari--a good time for families! A member of the American Zoological Association, they offer reciprocal admission to those with memberships in other zoos; prices are very reasonable, parking is nearby and cheap--but come early because different features have earlier closing times!
