If I had my way, I'd go here once a week, but gas prices what they are, my husband restricts it to twice or 3 times a year on our way back from the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Though you can get Chocolate or Vanilla, there are also imaginative flavors. My favorite is 10-20, which has caramel and cookies in a vanilla base. This place is probably what Generation X's parents remember as the local ice cream shop in the days of iceboxes. It's so refreshing in the homogenized era of Baskin Robbins and Coldstone Creamery. Their ice cream is sold in area supermarkets, but it's just not the same. It'll do in a pinch, but make the pilgrimage to the shop. You won't be disappointed.
