The Mystic Aquarium has been a family favorite since I was a kid. I remember birthday parties at the aquarium. Anyway, the exhibits are constantly being upgraded and the animals seem very well taken care of. The tanks look a lot like natural habitats and there are lots of informational/ educational opportunities. The staff is very informative and someone is always around to answer your questions. The aquarium has special attractions such as the Beluga and Penguin interaction programs. For an extra charge you can touch the Belugas or Penguins and get up close and personal. The kids love the sea lion performances and the ray petting tanks. There are tide pool tanks that allow you to touch crabs, sea plants and sea stars.
It's a fun and educational day out for all ages.
