Home Cares is run by dedicated volunteers. Every Thursday afternoon, you can donate used medical equipment (walkers, commodes, canes, crutches, etc.) or seek equipment for yourself or loved ones in need. Very occasionally, they will get a donation of an electronic scooter or wheelchair, so it would be worth getting on their wait list if you are in need. All donations are tax deductible. Most important, the friendly staff is very knowledgeable when it comes to fitting the equipment to your body and about local resources. This is a good cause to support and a very useful resource for this expensive equipment.
