In January 2020 we purchased a sofa/loveseat from Rooms to Go in Fort Myers. As snowbirds we use our condo only six months of the year. In less than two years we have found the fabric coming apart above the piping on ten adjoining squares, including areas on the crack where no one sits.
When we complained to Rooms to Go they put us in touch with Fortegra Warranty to invoke the manufacturer’s warranty. Fortegra informed us that the warranty specifically excludes the deterioration of the fabric near the seams.
We find this exclusion outrageous. To have couch fabric fall apart even in areas where no one sits to us indicates a real flaw manufacturing flaw that neither Fortegra no Rooms to Go is willing to acknowledge.
We shall never shop at Rooms to Go again and urge other prospective customers to heed this warning.
