I think it is a shame the corporate office closed it down. It not only had been a good part of our little town for 160 years. It was a good starting place for a lot of people through the years as they entered the work force. Others had spent a good amount of time there and had grown to rely on the income. Not mention the closeness to home. My own grandfather sold wool to the mill many years ago. My sister raised 3 children on her own working there. She really enjoyed her job she had and with home only being minutes away it helped her feel secure with children at home.
Now it is just a reminder how corporate America only thinks of theirselves and not not the good people that helped build them.
