I saw John O'Connor from Career Pro speak at an HR conference, and was considering going to them for career guidance. Their services are pricey, so I came online to check the reviews to see if it would be worth the money. It raises my suspicions when a business, like Career Pro, has nothing but glowing 5-star reviews with similar tone, structure, and wording. The positive reviews are all in the same format - a flashy opening line followed by rambling 5-star review about how Career Pro is "The Best!" It is obvious that the positive reviews are nothing more than carefully worded advertisements written by the people at Career Pro themselves. Mr. O'Connor is quick to blast any negative reviews as being fake or slanderous - very unprofessional and childish if not deceitful. I have also noticed that many negative reviews about Career Pro seem to magically disappear, meaning they are probably paying a PR firm to get bad reviews removed. Like another reviewer said, it's funny how the positive reviews about Career Pro all sound pretty much the same, while the negative reviews are very specific. In my opinion, it is highly unethical for a business to resort to fudging their online reviews in order to attract customers, and it will eventually come back to haunt them. Fortunately I caught on to their scheme before I spent thousands of dollars at Career Pro. more
